THE QUIET PROBLEM
WINERIES DON'T OUTGROW THEIR SYSTEMS IN ONE DAY. IT HAPPENS ONE ADD-ON AT A TIME.
Winemaking software, accounts, a cellar-door till, a club app, an online store and a few spreadsheets. Each works on its own. Together, the numbers never quite match, and the whole picture lives in your head at 9pm.
With the industry carrying a 1.9 stock-to-sales ratio against a 10-year average of 1.66 (Wine Australia, 2025), guesswork is now expensive.
YOU CAN'T COST A VINTAGE
True cost per bottle is a back-of-envelope number.
FIVE CHANNELS, FIVE BILLS
Cellar door, club, online, wholesale and export each keep their own records, and each has its own subscription.
STOCK IS A GUESS
Bulk, bottled and dry goods never quite add up.
LOSSES YOU MUST ACCOUNT FOR
Wine Australia's Label Integrity Program needs every gain, loss and blend recorded within three days.
THE DIFFERENCE
BUILT INSIDE NETSUITE. NOT BOLTED ON.
Most winery systems pass data to your accounts through an integration. Baker Tilly's Batch Production SuiteApp runs inside NetSuite, so a barrel top-up, a blend and the cost hitting your P&L are the same transaction.

WHY CLOUD CULTURE
WE HAVE WALKED A DAY IN YOUR VINEYARD
Founder Steve Ansermino grew up with wine education at every family dinner. His father exported South African wines to the United States and was well known in South African wine circles. Steve studied horticulture and spent more than ten years working with leading Australian viticulturists in crop protection.
So you won't be teaching us your industry. Baker Tilly, who built Batch Production and run a dedicated wine, beer and spirits accounting practice, back every implementation we do.
CRAFT PRODUCERS WHO MADE THE MOVE
"We just didn't have a handle on the true numbers, in real time. Steve understands our industry, our product, and he understands what's involved. They delivered what they promised for a very reasonable budget."
Scott Brandon, Owner, Bright Brewery
"Making those data driven decisions. We've got that specific information and that's huge for us. I think there was one I nearly gave you a kiss - we were just about to start doing our budget and budgeting is often challenging when you're using spreadsheets and seven different platforms. But we had 12 months of real data and I was like unreal.
The cost savings that we would have made over three years is huge.
And not trying to blow smoke up you, but Steve's been a really good asset for us, not just around NetSuite, but if we've got a question business industry, it's been really helpful."
Ella Ferris, Bridge Road Brewers
QUESTIONS WE HEAR A LOT
THE HONEST ANSWERS
If NetSuite isn't the right fit yet, we'll tell you.
Not all at once. You can keep current production or POS software while other parts of the business move to NetSuite, at a pace that suits your vintage.
Vintrace is a well-regarded winemaking system and many Australian wineries use it. The difference is how it is built. Vintrace is dedicated production software that connects to separate accounting software such as Xero. Its own documentation describes that Xero connection as one-way, with cost of goods not passed across, so your true cost per bottle still has to be pieced together between two systems.Batch Production runs inside NetSuite, so production, stock, costing, sales and finance are one set of records. A blend or a bottling run updates your cost of goods and your accounts in the same moment, with nothing to sync or reconcile.
EzyWine is a long-standing Australian winery system that brings winemaking, accounting, payroll, cellar door and wine club together in one package, and plenty of wineries run it well. The difference is the platform underneath. EzyWine is built for wineries only. NetSuite is a global cloud business platform used across many industries, with Batch Production adding winemaking inside it.That matters when your business reaches beyond the winery: a brewery or distillery under the same roof, a restaurant or venue, distribution, overseas entities or a future acquisition. NetSuite handles multiple companies and currencies as standard, connects to a wide choice of eCommerce and POS platforms, and is already familiar to many accountants, finance staff and advisers.
Cepaos is a newer, modular winery platform covering vineyard, cellar, lab, sales and finance, with strong traceability and compliance reporting geared to overseas regulators such as the US TTB. Like other wine-only platforms, it is designed for wineries alone.NetSuite with Batch Production gives you lot, barrel and blend traceability inside a full business platform, with Australian requirements such as WET set up natively and a local team in Australia to implement and support it.
Yes. WET is native in NetSuite and we have set it up before. Every gain, loss, blend and top-up is recorded by numbered tank or barrel as it happens, giving you the LIP records Wine Australia requires and the trail WET rebate claims need.
AI can trust the answer. It doesn’t have to guess how a lot number in one system matches a SKU in another and an invoice line in a third.
Most winery rollouts take 3 to 4 months, planned so they never land on top of harvest.
Less than many expect. Wineries we speak to are often already spending $5,000 to $10,000 a month across a collection of add-ons, and are surprised to find that overlaps with NetSuite’s pricing. NetSuite is a subscription based on what you need, and after a short conversation we give you clear pricing with no surprises.
